Woo hoo! We are so happy that the weekend is here. This weekend there a bunch of holiday themed activities including tree lightings, parades, snowfalls(yes in Florida) and more. So get out there and enjoy.

December 2

City of Orlando Tree Lighting
The city of Orlando is getting ready to light up its 60 ft. tree with 22,000 lights. You might need to bring shades because it will definitely be bright. The event will feature music by Trinity Lutheran School students and Encore! Cast Performing Arts, a holiday gift shopping vendor village and food from TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar.

Location: Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola Park, Orlando
Time: 5:00pm event begins, 7:00pm tree lighting

Winter on the Avenue
Park Avenue is transformed into a winter wonderland for a holiday street party. There will be music and entertainment, movies in the park and kids can visit with Santa. They will also light the Christmas Tree featuring local children’s choirs singing holiday songs.

December 3

News 6 Holiday Concert
The Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra will be performing a holiday concert to benefit the Salvation Army Angel Tree Network. Please bring a new unwrapped toy to donate.

Octonauts Live! The Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano
Your child’s favorite deep-sea explorers are live on stage, when the Octonauts take the Gup-E and explore, with both new songs and favorites from the series.

Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade
Who doesn’t love a good parade? Enjoy some holiday fun at the Winter Park Christmas Parade. If you don’t feel like making breakfast before heading out, stop by the Pancake Breakfast on your way there.

Charlie Brown Christmas
The animated special that we all grew to love as children is back as a stage show.  Running through December 18th, there will also be family-friendly activities outside the theatre between performances.

ICE! Featuring a Charlie Brown Christmas
ICE! is back this year, featuring Charlie Brown and his friends. The display, created with blocks of ice, takes your family on his journey to find Christmas through iconic Peanuts scenes – the Christmas play, picking a tree, and Snoopy’s doghouse. Everything is hand-carved and most of the displays are interactive.

Cost: $28.99 adults and $14.99 for kids in advance/$28.99 adults and $14.99 for kids at the door

Light up UCF
The ultimate place to get your Holiday celebrating on in Orlando. Take a spin around the ice skating rink, watch a holiday classic or check out the holiday light show. There is something for everyone in the family.

Cost: Individual attraction costs vary/$19.95 for combo ticket that includes Ice Skating, Ice Slide, Ferris Wheel, Light Up Express and Winter Whirl

Now Snowing
Take to the streets of Celebration, where it will snow every night until December 31st. Play in the snow as you listen to wandering carolers, watch street performers, and enjoy other entertainment. Ice skating is also available.

The Happy Elf
A brand new jazz musical by Harry Connick Junior, focusing on Eubie, and elf who is extremely happy all the time. Eubie wants to restore joy to the town of Bluesville and all its kids on the naughty list. He hopes this will secure him a place on Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve. Snap your fingers and tap your toes and come along with Eubie on his adventure.

Cost: $14 to $20
