The holiday season is in full swing in Orlando. This is one of my favorite times of the year with beautiful displays and wonderful smells. Make sure to get out this weekend in Orlando and enjoy some of the amazing holiday activities, including the Singing Christmas Trees, Winter Spark in Baldwin Park and Christmas in the Cloud

The Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild is the only event in Central Florida celebrating the culture, art, and beauty of traditional lantern festivals celebrated throughout Asia for centuries.
This year, Friday, December 13th will kick off the weekend of 3 Lake Conway boat parades. Parade starts at 8:00 PM at the South side of the Nela Bridge and will run clockwise. Save the date!
Dancing mice, toy soldiers and sugarplum fairies come to life in Rosen Shingle Creek’s Nutcracker Ballet Orlando, an abbreviated version of the holiday favorite performed in the hotel’s grand lobby by the talented young dancers at the Elizabeth Parsons School of Dance in Windermere.
From its beginning over three decades ago, the Trees have become one of Central Florida’s most loved and spectacular traditions. The Singing Christmas Trees is an exciting presentation of Christmas classics featuring a huge choir, full orchestra, dance, powerful drama and a beautiful display of 250,000 lights on our two 45-foot-tall Christmas Trees.

First ever community gingerbread house contest in Avalon Park. Join me (Mrs. Claus) at the Avalon Park Community Center on Friday December 13th, the same night that Santa will make a special stop in Avalon Park (see Avalon Park POA post for more details on their event), and show off your gingerbread house skills.

Jump on the Gingerbread Express by SunRail on Friday, December 13. The train will take you to Gingerbread Land at Winter Park Station where you will be able to participate in a lot of fun activities.

The Enchanted Forest includes a hayride to and from the forest and a walking trail with a beautiful display of lights, classic Christmas music and scavenger hunt. Join us right before our weekly Car Cruise as residents from Sherwood Forest RV Resort present their personal golf carts in all of their Holiday glory! Golf carts will begin arriving at 6:30pm and will parade down Old Town’s mainstreet before our Car Cruise at 8:30pm.
The City of Apopka is proud to host a Celebration of the Holidays, featuring a special family-friendly concert from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with vocalists Chrystal Johnson and Brandon Martin.
