  1. Visit a Theme Park – Orlando is the theme park capital of the world, so visit a theme park or two or three.
  2. Visit The Showcase of Citrus – Take the kids over to The Showcase of Citrus to pick some oranges, ride a monster truck and see a magic show.
  3. Visit I-Drive – Take a spin on the Orlando Eye, visit Madame Tussauds and go to the SeaLife Aquarium. You can get a pass that combines all three attractions.
  4. Go Skydiving – Not the jump out of a plane kind, but the simulated indoor kind at iFly.
  5. Take in a Dinner Show – Yeah, they are a little cheesy but the kids like them. We recommend Medieval Times.
  6. Go to a Splash Pad – Beat the heat for little to no money at one of the splash pads at a local park.
  7. Learn about Space – Visit the Kennedy Space Center and learn about rockets, space and more.
  8. Have a Picnic in the Park – Visit one of Orlando’s numerous parks for a picnic. Bring along a ball and a frisbee for some good, cheap fun.
  9. Visit a museum – Beat the heat and go inside to visit a museum. Introduce the kids to art. Bring along a sketch pad and let them draw what they see.
  10. Go to Tea – Get all dressed up and go out to tea. It is almost Easter, so this is the perfect time to wear your Easter bonnet, if you have one that is.
  11. Play some Mini GolfMini golf is about the only kind of golf that I like and the kids have a blast playing it. Orlando has a ton of mini golf courses where you can play.
  12. Watch Baseball – Take in one of the Atlanta Braves pre-season games at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
  13. Watch a Flick – Grab a chair and some snacks and take in an outdoor movie. Movies play every week at Old Town USA.
  14. Make Science Fun – Go over to the Orlando Science Center to dig up dinosaur bones, do science experiments, watch animal feedings, learn about physics and more.
  15. Take in a Free Concert – Head on over to Downtown Disney for a free concert on the weekends.
  16. Introduce the Kids to Opera – The Orlando Opera is presenting Cinderella, which is the perfect introduction to opera for kids.
  17. Take the Kids to the Ballet – Kids can see the enchanting tale of Beauty and the Beast unfold as they experience their first ballet.
  18. Go Color Crazy – Visit the Crayola Experience and enter an amazing world of color where your kids can create crayon art, make their own crayon, draw, color and more.
  19. Make a Chocolate Bar – Visit Chocolate Kingdom to learn about how chocolate is made and make your own chocolate bar.
  20. Get out of Town – Take a day trip to St. Petersburg or St. Augustine. They aren’t too far away but they are completely different from Orlando.
