Disney Springs is a great place go with the family.  It is also an easy place to take the kids alone as parking is very convenient and if you have a stroller, there are plenty of elevators to get you where you need to go.  I love taking my daughter there to walk around and explore.  Not only are there fun stores to walk around at Disney Springs, but there are some very fun restaurants to enjoy as well.

Here is our list of the best Disney Springs restaurants for families.

The Boathouse

If you are looking for a fancy meal while at the Springs, The Boathouse is the perfect place.  Not only is it a little fancy in feel, but it is also kid friendly.  Located on the water, the restaurant features lots of fresh fish and succulent steaks sure to please the whole family.  With a beautiful view, kids can enjoy watching the Dream Boats drive by in the water.  You can even opt to ride in one for an additional charge, taking a twenty minute “drive” around the lake.  Definitely a fun outing!

Hours of operation: 11 am to 11 pm Monday through Friday | 11 am to 12 am Saturday and Sunday

Chef Art’s Homecoming

Focusing on farm to table food, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin is a collection of southern style comfort foods, sure to please the pickiest of palates.  There food is incredible here!  With adult dishes like fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese grits, chicken and biscuits, fried catfish, mac and cheese and country fried steak to name a few of their offerings, parents will leave happy.  For kids, they offer chicken, fish strips, and burgers but the big appeal for the kids’ menu is the child’s donut and ice cream for their dessert.  With a dessert offering like that, I can guarantee my daughter will eat her entire meal here.

I use Rakuten to get rebates on my everyday shopping online and then use the money that I have saved to go out to dinner with the family.

D-Luxe Burger

D-Luxe Burger is one of my daughter’s favorite places to eat.  I think it is due to all the dip options they offer, but either way, it is one of mine too so I am not going to complain.  Though they offer up delightful burgers, their fried chicken sandwich is literally the best chicken sandwich I have ever had (sorry Chick Fila).  They also offer artisanal gelato shakes and floats to accompany your burger of chicken sandwich to make things extra delicious.  Who doesn’t love sweet and salty together for their meal?!  D-Luxe Burger makes fresh cut fries and has a mini buffet of dips according to my daughter.  Apparently, they are open for breakfast, so no matter when your craving kicks in for their food, chances are they will be opened.  As a quick service restaurant, I do find there can be a little bit of a wait for your meal, but since it is cooked hot and fresh, we never mind waiting.

Located in: The Town Center

Hours of operation: 10:30 am to 10 pm daily

Planet Hollywood

I love eating at Planet Hollywood with my daughter!  It is very noisy in there so I never have to worry about my daughter being too loud for other patrons.  There is also fun music playing to keep my daughter entertained as she loves singing and dancing.  You won’t be able to miss the big screen playing movie clips, and be sure to take a walk around the restaurant as there is so much memorabilia to see and amazing movie costumes to spy.  We love walking around and seeing what movies my little may know the costumes from.  Food wise, this place will not disappoint.  The menu was completely redone by famous celebrity chef Guy Fieri and his creations are delish!  I once ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, having misread the menu, it actually turned out to be a grilled mac and cheese sandwich.  I don’t think I would have ever ordered it had I read the menu correctly, but oh my gosh was it amazing!  They also have colossal milkshakes perfect for ending your gluttonously fun meal.

The Polite Pig

Located just outside of the Lime Garage, The Polite Pig offers up the most scrumptious selection of smoked meats.  If you love burnt ends, pulled pork, brisket, and sweet potato tots, this place is for you.  I love this restaurant for kids as it is a quick service location.  Stand in line, order, find a seat, and your food will be brought to your table.  This is a great option for families or an outing alone with the kids as sometimes table service just takes too long, your kids are just too impatient, or you are just really hungry and time is ticking.  Regardless, The Polite Pig will not disappoint the hangriest of family members.  Plus, this place is husband approved.

Hours of operation: 11 am to 10 pm daily

Raglan Road

If your feeling Irish, check out Raglan Road.  Walking into this restaurant will be like stepping into an authentic Irish Pub thousands of miles away.  Not only is the food festive to Ireland, but my favorite thing here is the many stages that host live Irish music.  There is also a very popular song and dance group that even invites kids on stage to join them in their jig.  This is one pub that is surely child friendly, plus no passport needed!

We love Groupon for getting discounts on favorite restaurants and trying out new ones.

Rainforest Cafe

Have you been to Rainforest Café yet?  If you haven’t, this place is super fun and very well themed.  Rainforest Café is very unique in the fact that while you are dining, you very much feel like you are in a jungle surrounded by animals.  It is very loud in there, so do prepared if your little one is not a fan of loud noises. Otherwise, this restaurant gives you all the exotic feels while never leaving Orlando.  The food here, while good, is a bit on the pricey side, but given the fact that you are paying more for the ambiance, it is worth it at least once, especially if your child loves animals!

Located in: The Marketplace

Hours of operation: 11 am to 8pm daily

T-REX

If you are looking for some dinosaur fun, T-REX is amazing!  T-REX will have you face to face with life size dinosaurs.  I must say I absolutely love the theming at this place as it is so well done!  T-Rex gives you a hands-on prehistoric experience, unequaled to any place I have seen before.  If your child is into dinosaurs, this place is a must see!  Even if they aren’t huge fans, it is definitely worth walking in and taking a peek.  My daughter loves looking around the store and they usually have the rock pit opened for digging which can be accessed through their store as well.  However, due to the pandemic it is unclear if the rock pit is still opened or not.  If it is your child’s birthday, be sure to have them sing their festive dino song, as it is literally adorable.
