Taking the whole family out to dinner can be really expensive. I have two kids, so I definitely understand that paying for four is a lot more than paying for two and don’t even get me started on the beverages. The best way to save money is to cook at home, but that’s not always practical with crazy schedules and sometimes quite frankly we don’t want to. So instead, we decided to look for where kids eat free in Orlando. We put together a...Read More

With weather in Orlando moving back and forth between uber hot and extremely rainy, playing outdoors at the park is not always possible. Sure you can stay at home and play, but there is only so much space that you have in your house and there is a limit to the amount of toys that you can keep there. Granted, you can join a program like Pley and borrow toys to give your kids access to a never-ending library of toys, but that will still only get them one toy at a time. If you are looking for an indoor play...Read More
The weekend is here again and lots of fun fall activities are still in full swing. It’s a perfect time to take the kiddos to visit a farm, pick some pumpkins or attend a fall festival. There are fall festivals going on at Club Lake Plantation, Stanley Pond Adventure Farm, Southern Hill Farms and Hastings Ranch and Farm. Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest has acres upon acres of pumpkins for you to pick, and you can also pick pumpkins and hang out with the animals...Read More
Last weekend I headed out to Stanley Pond Adventure Farm with a friend of mine and 4 kids between us. The farm is a little bit of a drive from Orlando, but if you are looking for an Orlando Fall Festival to attend with the kids on a real farm, then Stanley Pond Adventure Farm is definitely a winner. I consider myself to be a fall festival connoisseur, having attended many a fall festival over the years, and I will say that the fall festival at Stanley Pond Adventure farm is one of the best that I have been to. The reason is that the farm wasn’t too crowded and even if it was, it wouldn’t feel crowded as it was very spread out. There was a little walk between activities, but we didn’t mind as it was quite picturesque. Activities Activities at the farm include: an airboat ride, wagon ride or cow train ride, jumping pillow, horseback ride, mega slide, punkin chunkin, target practice (shooting softballs out of a cannon), mega trikes, barn ball (basketball in the barn), and a special wagon ride storytime about Spookley the square pumpkin. The kids did pretty much every activity and some of them more than once. There wasn’t really a line for anything except for the horseback riding. The kids really loved the mini airboat ride that was on the pond. It...Read More

If you are looking for things to do in Orlando this weekend, never fear, fall family fun season is here! (The rhyming was totally by accident. Too many bedtime stories to the 3 year old) Fall is our absolute favorite time of year; we love it even more than Christmas. That is probably heresy around these parts, but there is just something about going to the farm for some great family fun that the kids and adults alike...Read More
